Tonight, the unthinkable happened. After voicing my displeasure on Applebee's Facebook page, I was banned. Why was I banned? Because I was critical of their food, their drinks, the PR team, and the way they treat their wait staff. So of course, I switched to the profile that I manage my business with, and I made another post to let them know that they can't get rid of me so easily. I'm sure they would ban me from their establishments if they could, but that won't be necessary. Of course, I was promptly banned a second time. It didn't even take five minutes.

The post that got me banned...the second time.

Now, I didn't want to believe that they could sink this low, but it appears that not only are they banning people, but that their PR team has encouraged the people that work there to like the page and post positive comments. If you told me that their PR team was, in fact, actually creating fake profiles to inflate their likes and make positive comments, I wouldn't be surprised in the slightest. I didn't want to believe it either, but then I found this gem:
Now, this seems fairly innocent, right? Take a look at Brian Masilionis. He's a manager at Applebee's in Kansas City!

And, just because I was curious, I checked out his profile. I was nice enough to black out his wife's name.
Now, I don't know about you, but this doesn't seem like the way to run a corporation to me. Firing someone over something so petty (after your company did it and deleted the evidence too) when she should have just been disciplined, arguing with potential customers after releasing stupid statements sticking up for the customer who had a portion of her receipt posted, lying about why the waitress was fired, treating employees like garbage to begin with, using pre-made pre-portioned frozen food and charging out the butt for it, deleting negative comments from customers, banning customers...the list goes on and on. My kids could have handled this better, and they're 9 and 6!

Needless to say, I won't be back Applebee's. Not now, not tomorrow, not ever.

Don't forget. IHOP is owned by the same corporation.

Dine Equity owns both Applebee's and IHOP.

I was banned last night (2/8) as well, at the time many others were banned for CIVILLY AND CALMLY speaking our mind and voicing our opinions! Applebee's is such an outrageous disgrace and complete social failure! This has got to stop! Watching them derail like this is painful, even for me!

I was civil as well. I didn't even swear! LOL

But in all seriousness, the way that they are treating people who may change their minds and give them money in the future just blows my mind. Silencing us on their Facebook page does nothing for them. Sure, they don't have to look at it there, but how many people are we going to tell now? I wasn't even going to write about it in my blog, but now I couldn't help myself!

You know, if they are creating fake profiles on FB, you can report the profiles. You're not allowed to do that.

Rumor has it that many of these profiles could also be employees that were forced to put something positive on the AB's wall.

Applebees did not ban me for mentioning that their boneless wings were made out of the fetuses of aborted babies due to their no pregnancy policy. They did not ban me for saying that their wings were made with breading, thigh fat, and gristle.. but they did ban me when i started talking about more sensible things like serving toddlers alcoholic beverages.... I think they have their priorities screwed up.

They blocked me and my wife when she complained about their gun ban! What a company! Like that is going to cause us to leave!

Doesn't it make you not want to ever spend a dime in there again? If they don't care enough to hear me out, I won't care enough when they decide to get their act together (if ever) to spend my money there.

Well, as they see it, either their employees want a (demeaning) job or they don't.
